Staying at Backcreek means immersing yourself in a truly remote bushland environment, and with that comes a few important responsibilities. Access to the property is strictly 4WD only. Guests may drive from the homestead to the campsite only - no vehicles are permitted to be driven around the property. The terrain can be unpredictable, with hidden natural springs and pockets of soft ground throughout the long grass. Your safety and the protection of the land are our top priorities, so understanding and respecting these conditions is essential.

Weather and fire safety regulations also play a major role in how we operate. Heavy rain can affect access, and we will always advise you if your booking needs to be postponed or altered for safety reasons — with refunds or rescheduling available where appropriate. Fire bans may be in effect depending on conditions, and when fires are permitted, they must be kept strictly within the provided firepit and never left unattended. Respecting the property, the surrounding environment, and neighbouring landowners is mandatory to ensure the land remains pristine and accessible for all future visitors.
